MONSOON SOUTHEAST ASIA COLLECTION is proud to be part of Chronic Compulsions: Selected Artworks from Art Addicts Anonymous at The Private Museum from 11 January to 24 March 2024. This unprecedented collaboration between a museum, 3 experienced curators, and 15 local private collections celebrates the power of art to bring people together and create a strong and vibrant community.  Started as a local group chat for sharing ideas and opinions about art and exhibitions, the group has chosen to move beyond the virtual space and collaborate on an exhibition that exemplifies the dynamic private collecting practices in Singapore today.

Among the over 40 works in the exhibition are 3 contemporary art pieces by Southeast Asian artists from the MONSOON SOUTHEAST ASIA COLLECTION. Gary Ross Pastrana's Lot-01 Provisional Objects Series (Eidolon II), (2019) greets visitors in the Arrival Hall of the museum while Khvay Samnang's photograph Calling For Rain, (2021) and Nona Garcia's three-channel video work Hallow, (2015) are displayed at the Emily Gallery and Emily Arcade on Level 2.
