Priyageetha Dia is a visual artist working with moving image, sculpture, installation, and text. Her practice unfolds contemplative constructions of alternate futures and speculative imaginaries through her Tamizh identity. Her current research focuses on the ancestral spectre and bureaucratic labour relations of the Tamizh diaspora in Southeast Asia and beyond. Her work has been exhibited at two solo shows at Art Porters Gallery Singapore in 2018 and 2020, as well as at the National Gallery Singapore in 2020, S.E.A Focus at Gillman Barracks in 2019 and the Art Science Museum Singapore in 2019. Priyageetha was listed on Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2021 under The Arts category. She received the IMPART Visual Artist Award by Art Outreach Singapore in 2019. She currently lives and works in Singapore.
