Alfredo & Isabel Aquilizan (Philippines, b. 1962 and Philippines, b. 1965) are partners in both life and art. Their artistic practice evolved within the spheres of family and community, including personal relationships and those they share with other artists. Their works explore the concepts and meaning of home, community, and identity, and memory through materials and objects that are both abstract and referential, objects that serve as metaphors of everyday human life.

They have participated in several international biennales and exhibitions including the Busan Biennale, Korea in 2019; Gangwon International Biennale, South Korea in 2018; Sharjah Biennale, UAE in 2013; Asia Pacific Triennale, Australia in 2009;  Singapore Biennale in 2008; Adelaide Biennale, Australia in 2008, Biennale of Sydney in Australia in 2006; the Third Echigo-Tsumari Triennale, Japan in 2006; Gwangju Biennale, Korea in 2004; La Biennale de Venezia, Italy in 2003 among others. Their works are included in the major collections such as the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (Australia); Singapore Art Museum; Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (Japan); Queensland Art Gallery (Australia); and Lopez Museum Foundation (Philippines).

They currently live and work in Brisbane, Australia and, Laguna, Philippines.
