Ay Tjoe Christine (Indonesia, b. 1973) is one of the most acclaimed contemporary artists in Indonesia, known for her intricate layered paintings and thought-provoking installations. She holds a degree in Printmaking and Graphic Art at the Bandung Institute of Technology.  

Ay Tjoe began her career as a graphic artist and her experience with the dry point technique can be seen in the abstract expressionist paintings that she renders in oil bar on canvas. In both her painting and sculptural practice, Ay Tjoe engages with human nature and emotions, as well as the interconnectivity of humanity with the natural world.

Ay Tjoe's works have been widely exhibited at international museums and galleries in the UK, Japan, Seoul, Singapore, and Taiwan.  Her works are held in several local and international private collections.  She lives and works in Bandung, Indonesia.
