Cheng Yen Pheng

Cheng Yen Pheng (Malaysia, b.1982) is a contemporary artist based in Malaysia. In her paintings and two-dimensional works, Cheng approaches artmaking as a philosophical, often autobiographical, contemplation of life, often using material and texture to convey meaning and emotion.  She graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Dasein Academy of Arts in 2004. Her works have been included in exhibitions in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore. She was the Grand Prize winner of UOB's Painting of the Year Malaysia in 2019.
