SEA STATES Study was developed during the artist's residency with STPI. This etching is inspired by the World Meteorological Organization's code for measuring wave and swell conditions of the sea. Since 2005, Lim's SEA STATE series has delved into the connections between the biophysical and geopolitical contours of Singapore as an island nation, using the visible and invisible lenses of the sea.
