White Squares, (2026) is an iteration from the artist’s Line Series of acrylic paintings using only lines of solid colour. It is a study in colour theory and contrasts, examining how simple colour compositions can create perceptual illusions.
White is not a hue but the combination of all colours in the visible light spectrum. In this work, the small squares scattered on the surface appear white when viewed at a distance but up close, they reveal the colours of the rainbow.
