Allan Balisi (Philippines, b. 1982) is a contemporary artist who works primarily in painting. Using found images from photographs and film, Balisi creates paintings that amplify the graphic qualities and drama of still moments through a muted, almost monochrome, palate. Balisi graduated from the Far Eastern University’s Fine Arts program in 2005 and was shortlisted for the Ateneo Art Awards in 2009 and 2013. He was a recipient of the 2021 Thirteen Artists Award, a triennial award given by the Cultural Center of the Philippines to recognise for exemplary artists in the field of visual arts. Balisi has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.
